My first pair of New Balance Running Shoes were the MR560. I made the mistake of skipping the shoe fitting at a Running Store, and decided to go to a department store to get a cheaper price. Bad mistake.
I went to Kohl's because I saw the the prices in their ads for Running Shoes were very cheap. I think that this is because many of the shoes that they carry are out of production or may be overstocks. Not a problem, if you know what type of shoe to get, and do not mind yesterday's technology.
When I tried the New Balance Running Shoes on in the store, they felt great. This was because the running shoes I was using prior to this were a very crappy pair, and in relative comparison these New Balance shoes felt like heaven.
I bought the pair of 560 with N-Fuse technology in the mid sole. At the time I had no idea what this meant, and still really do not know. It is yet another gimmick to get you to buy shoes. The shoe has not been in production for some time now, But I was able to find this picture online.
These are nice shoes, but they are not the type that I need for my foot, and they are pretty plain to look at. I like shoes that stand out and make you say "wow".
So my next pair of New Balance Running Shoes will be something a little more loud. Something that stands out and says "look at my shoes."
So in my next post I will be looking for the craziest looking pair of New Balance Running Shoes, and talk about what makes them great.
